Jane Ridel’s first professional music gig was beating drums in the Hollywood movie The Creeping Terror in 1964. Next Jane toured the United States opening up concerts for
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons,
Ray Anthony,
Wilson Picket,
Bobby Gentry and
Ike and Tina Turner.
Jane has enjoyed staying and performing in some of the most luxurious hotels in the United States. She also danced professionally with the American icon Blaze Starr. Sometimes before a road tour Jane would relax at her ranch in Canada where she would go horse-back riding and breathe clean mountain air.
One of Jane’s main interests is collecting and restoring Cadillac’s. The car that is in the band photo is one the automobiles from her collection. Now she’s back on the West coast with Tony Douglas and The Charlie Daniels Tribute.
Charlie Gould (far right) began performing as a bass player with local bands in the Tucson area while still in high school. He studied music at the University of Arizona while continuing to perform in local bands in the Tucson club scene during the early 70’s. After college he moved to the Seattle area where he performed with the popular band
Proof of Purchase, performing in concerts with
B B King,
James Brown,
Chubby Checker,
Big Country,
The Dramatics and
Stanley Turrentine.
Following his five-year stint with Proof of Purchase he traveled with a successful show band located out of Lake Tahoe and performed throughout the Western United States with many appearances in major casinos throughout Nevada, including frequent dates at both Harrah’s and Caesar’s Palace in Lake Tahoe.
In 1984, he moved to San Francisco Bay area where he formed a band called City Heat with the former keyboard player and guitar player from the famous Bay area funk band Grand Central Station. City Heat enjoyed great success in the Bay area club scene.
Since returning to the Seattle area in 1998, Charlie has performed regularly with different groups playing a wide variety of music styles in the nightclubs, casinos, and Alaskan cruise ships.
